Peter Campbell

UK political news editor

Peter Campbell is the UK political news editor at the Financial Times, working with the UK news editors and overseeing political coverage from the FT’s Westminster team.

Before that, he was global motor industry correspondent, leading coverage of the auto industry and chairing the FT’s Future of the Car Summit, where he interviewed industry leaders including Elon Musk, Carlos Tavares and Jim Farley.

He has previously covered technology, energy, retail, telecoms, media and tax. He was named Young Journalist of the Year at the British Press Awards in 2014.
